Help inspire creativity and art-making that enlivens our community!

Art for these times

At Imago Foundation for the Arts (IFA), we offer visual art, music, poetry, and films that inspire and build connections between artists and the community as they spark genuine conversations and provide moments of reflection that can be life changing, especially in times like these.

We’ve been committed to this work for more than 22 years! A small group of IFA volunteer artists and community members has given hundreds of people of all ages and social circumstances the opportunity to collaborate, perform, converse, learn and enjoy each other’s company in a welcoming setting. Our mission is simple: to inspire creativity, promote artmaking and enrich the communities we serve.

Earlier in 2026, The Big Show, our annual open community exhibit, drew 77 artists and 136  works of art. Throughout the year we will be exploring  new ways of integrating poetry and other art forms with visual art, and launching a lecture series sponsored by a memorial fund set up by the family of the late IFA Exhibiting Artist Howard Windham. Howard was a dear Friend of Imago and an artist, designer and educator who made a lasting impact on countless individuals.

Your contributions will not only help with these initiatives but also support behind-the-scenes activities, utility costs, and gallery refurbishments.

There are several ways you can help. Contribute a one-time or a monthly gift by using the donate button below  or by mailing a check to the address below. You can also buy tickets or become a sponsor for our annual fundraiser STARRY NIGHT being held this year on July 18 at Bristol Yacht Club.

However you support us, we are deeply appreciative.

Thank you!

2025 at IMAGO

  • We hosted nine art exhibitions welcoming over 200 guest artists who participated in juried and invitational exhibits including The BIG Show, our open community exhibit.

  • We offered six-month exhibition opportunities to two talented emerging artists who were able to participate in a full range of gallery activities and gain useful experience at a critical time in their careers.

  • We awarded scholarships to two Mount Hope High School graduates pursuing a college education in the arts, bringing the total scholarships we’ve awarded since 2018 to $6,400.

  • And, in addition to our own exhibitions, artist talks, panels, workshops, and poetry, film and music events, we shared our space with writers from the Rogers Free Library, poets exploring AI poetry from Blue Sky, and a film hosted by the Warren Land Conservation Trust. We also participated in several community-wide programs with Art Night Bristol-Warren, Discover Warren and the Warren Holiday Festival.
