The works that I have exhibited at the Imago Gallery this year represent a continuation of my exploration in creating photo-based digital compositions.
Some involved transforming either full-frame or geometric sections of my photographs into creations which I call “iterated compositions.” Others played with the notion that digital compositing is a variation of creating collages. In these, I encouraged viewers to imagine a narrative in the scenes while, by purposely exaggerating the edges of placed objects, the pieces teased the viewer by raising questions about what is “real.”
I am an Exhibiting Artist at the Providence Art Club in addition to being an Artist Member of Imago. I exhibited in Rome Art Week for the second consecutive year and have exhibited at the major art venues in our region, winning numerous awards.
